Resin

Resin ribbon is ideal for printing on synthetic media for long life labels. Resin ribbon produces extremely durable labels when combined with top-coated synthetic media and is recommended for extreme conditions such as asset labeling, drum labeling, automotive, and product identification. It is resistant to most solvents, including alcohol, oils, fats, petroleum, and aromatic oils.

Wax resin

A very versatile general purpose ribbon, it combines resin and wax to deliver excellent print quality on a wide range of paper and synthetic media. Wax-Resin ribbon provides good smudge and scratch resistance with moderate resistance to solvents.

Wax

Wax ribbon is a general-purpose ribbon that provides an economic alternative that is effective on low-cost paper labels requiring less smear resistance. It is more susceptible to smudging from frequent handling than wax-resin ribbons, but produces a very economical label. Resistance to solvents is reduced by the wax based inks, but stands up fairly well when exposed to alcohols, oils and fats.
